CHENGDU, China, Aug. 29, 2021 -- SVOLT Energy Technology Co., Ltd. ("SVOLT"), a leading Chinese EV battery manufacturer, has unveiled the world’s first cobalt-free battery which has achieved series production and been successfully assembled in Great Wall’s ORA Cherry Cat which is on show at this year’s Chengdu Motor Show. Vehicles featuring cobalt-free battery are expected to go on sale in the China market.

BAODING, CHINA/BEIJING, July 22, 2019-SVOLT Energy Technology Co. Ltd and Battery Safety Laboratory of Tsinghua University, led by Professor Ouyang Minggao, held a signing ceremony of cooperation agreement, announcing that the two sides would conduct in-depth collaborative research on the early warning and management system to deal with the thermal runaway of batteries.

On July 16, SVOLT held a mass production ceremony for the first cobalt-free battery in Jiangsu Province. This means that the world's first cobalt-free battery has come out of the laboratory and formally realized mass production, making SVOLT the first battery company in the world to break through the technical difficulties of cobalt-free battery and successfully achieve mass production.

Shanghai, China, April 20th, 2021 - The first Innovation Day of SVOLT with the theme of "Innovation Drives the Future" is officially launched during the 2021 Shanghai Auto Show today, which marks the brand strategy upgrade of SVOLT entering stage 2.0. During the launch event, SVOLT announces that it will found the SVOLT CAPITAL with a fund of 2 billion Yuan invested to support the industry innovation.

On the afternoon of April 8th, the mass production of the cobalt-free cathode material of SVOLT formally started in its cathode material factory in Jintan, Changzhou. After it was announced that the cobalt-free batteries could be reserved around the world on the First Battery Day in China last December, SVOLT took a solid step in cobalt-free batteries from concept to reality.

On March 19, sponsored by China Chemical and Physical Power Industry Association, "the 14th China International Battery Fair" opened in Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center. With the rapid development of the new energy vehicle industry, this exhibition is particularly eye-catching, and the major battery companies have shown their advantage products.

On January 18, SVOLT Energy Technology Co., Ltd. and Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement at the headquarters of Huayou Cobalt in Tongxiang. The two sides will make use of their respective advantages to cooperate in Lithium-ion battery recycling and carbon emissions reduction, to improve the competitiveness of the supply chain.
