So as you know I attend THE BEST historical black university and last month we celebrated homecoming week. My university is known for students being highly fashionable year round but everyone pulls out their best dress for Homecoming. Don’t get me wrong, Homecoming not only brings out the most fashionable wear but it also brings in a lot of revenue for the university and black business vendors. During this time I thought it would be wonderful to show my support for a black business and luckily I was able to find a boutique owned by FAMU alumna, Lauren Yelder.
Danity Love Boutique is based in Atlanta but ships nationally. The boutiques inventory include dresses, accessories and swimwear. Her fashion items have been worn by Nikki Nicole, a host on RHOA( Yes, Real Housewives of Atlanta) Kandi “Koated Nights” and former RHOA Claudia Jordan.
I received two complimentary pieces from her store, a Moroccan styled romper and a navy

How stylish is this cobalt blue and white skater dress? This item fit my waist perfectly but the straps were a little long on me so I tied the back together. Overall this is a beautiful dress to wear out on a date or night out on the town. It’s very flirty and versatile. In this photo I decided to color-block with a shocking pink.

The romper was my ultimate favorite piece. I’m usually a size 0-2 so it ran a little bit big on me. I paired it with a waist belt and a navy cami. The lightweight material was wonderful for Florida’s heat and it’s only $40 ! I think I would also like to pair this with some boots for a fall look!

I would suggest hand
-washing both items. I washed them on gentle cycle and the threads started falling apart. The blue dress has a white silky material and mesh at the bottom hand-washing will prevent it from unraveling. If it does come apart, you should be able to clean up the excess thread with scissors. Also the blue dress is a little bit see-through. I wore a mini-slip just to be cautious. I will definitely buy from this seller not only because I support Black Businesses but because the items arrived quickly, I told her my concerns on the items being big and she offered me tips on how to make them work for me and her customer service skills were excellent.
